Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 8, 2026

Thrum ("Thrum", "the app", "we") is a focus & time-awareness app for Apple Watch, with an iPhone companion. This policy explains what the app does — and does not do — with your data. The short answer: what you do in Thrum stays on your devices; we collect only anonymous usage and subscription events, and we never track you.

The short version

What data we collect

Thrum has no backend service of its own. Your focus sessions, cue schedule, and preferences are stored locally on your devices (and, if you have it enabled, in your own private iCloud, which only you can access). We never receive that content.

The iPhone app does send a limited set of analytics and subscription events to two processors:

These events are not linked to your identity, are not used to track you across other companies' apps or websites, and never include your focus sessions, cue schedule, or haptic settings. The Apple Watch app sends no analytics at all.

Notifications and haptics

Interval cues and gentle haptics are generated locally by the app and Apple's notification system on your own devices. No notification content is sent to or through any server we operate.

Subscriptions and payments

Thrum Pro is sold through Apple's App Store using StoreKit. When you subscribe or make a purchase, Apple processes the payment and manages your subscription. We never see or store your payment details, card numbers, or Apple Account credentials. Apple's handling of that information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Health and medical data

Thrum is a focus and time-awareness tool, not a medical or treatment device. It does not access Apple Health, heart rate, or any health data, and it makes no medical or therapeutic claims.

Children

Thrum is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The anonymous usage events described above are not used to build a profile of any individual.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above.

This website

This website (thrum.webkodingtheme.com) uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits, to see which pages and referring sites bring people here, and to record when a visitor taps through to the App Store. It collects the page viewed, an approximate location derived from your IP address, and the referring site. IP addresses are anonymised, and Google advertising signals and ad personalisation are switched off — this data is never used to build an advertising profile and is never joined to anything you do inside the app. See Google’s privacy policy. This section covers the website only; how the app itself handles your data is described above.
